Overview

Hot tubs need a dedicated 240V circuit, a GFCI-protected disconnect within sight of the tub, and proper bonding. We size the circuit for your specific spa, install a weatherproof disconnect at the legal distance, and bond the equipment to current code.

What's Included
  • Dedicated 240V circuit (typically 50A or 60A)
  • GFCI spa panel disconnect
  • Underground or surface conduit run
  • Equipotential bonding per NEC 680
  • Coordination with your spa installer
Signs You Need This
  • New spa being delivered
  • Existing tub on an undersized circuit
  • Disconnect missing or too close to the water
  • Breaker trips when the heater kicks on
FAQ
How far does the disconnect have to be?
Per code, between 5 and 50 feet from the tub, in line of sight, and not directly above it.
